Is the StreatSmart app free?
Yes, the StreatSmart app is free of charge for both vendors and users.
Is this app only limited to the Twin Cities/Minnesota?
Users are able to view food trucks in the app anywhere within the USA. As a Minnesota based company, our primary focus is to cultivate our vendor and user base starting with our home state's food truck community before scaling our efforts to other states . However if you are a food truck vendor operating outside of MN, we would be happy to work with you although the StreatSmart user base in your state may not be particularly active.
Is the app available on Android and Apple iOS?
Yes we are available for both operating systems. We have heard from users that StreatSmart is a little more difficult to find in the Google Play store than the Apple App Store. You can directly access the download links here.
I am a food truck owner, how do I get signed up on the app?
Download our app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store, register an account, and reach out to us at streat.smart.info@gmail.com to receive a vendor key to complete your profile.
Does StreatSmart have a website that vendors can use to update their profile, add events, menu items, etc?
At the moment, no. We use our website for educational and support purposes only and don't see that changing in the future. Our primary focus is building out the app to be as robust and useful for both vendors and food truck fanatics on the go.
As a vendor, I am unable to add a custom location or venue for an event in StreatSmart…
StreatSmart uses Google technology to automatically pull in locations/venues. You must search the location in the searchbar at the top of the page and it will automatically populate the location in the event setup form.
Can users RSVP to events so vendors have an idea of how many people are being driven to events by your app?
We do not have the feature built into the app at the moment but it is something we are considering at a later date.
What happens if a truck has to cancel an event days prior or even on the same day of the event?
To ensure data accuracy and maintain the integrity of our app, it is critical for vendors to have their schedules current and up to date, and in the event where a vendor has to cancel an event, update their calendar in StreatSmart to reflect this change to prevent misinformation.
Why is there a limited amount of food trucks on the app?
The StreatSmart team does not add vendors and events.. The goal of the app is to allow vendors to create their own accounts and have control over their data. If you do not see a vendor, either they have not created an account or they have created an account but have not completed their profile.
Some vendors are open but I can't see them on the map?
The StreatSmart map will only display vendors that are in your viscinity. If you move around on the map, and refresh the page, you might see more vendors. The StreatSmart website currently displays a daily map that shows all open food trucks within Minnesota here.
I am a brick and mortar business owner, how can I promote upcoming food truck events we will be hosting?
Our team is currently in the process of adding functionality to allow profiles to be setup by venues to showcase food trucks that will be at their location/events on any given day.
